I pity any girl...

... who isn't me, tonight.

Glee have some beautiful and inspiring songs sometimes

I feel pretty/ Unpretty.

I wish could tie you up in my shoes
Make you feel unpretty too
I was told I was beautiful
But what does that mean to you

Look into the mirror who's inside there
The one with the long hair
Same old me again today (yeah)

My outsides look cool
My insides are blue
Everytime I think I'm through
It's because of you

I've tried different ways
But it's all the same
At the end of the day
I have myself to blame

I'm just trippin'

You can buy your hair if it won't grow
You can fix your nose if he says so
You can buy all the make up
That M.A.C. can make

But if you can't look inside you
Find out who am I too
Be in the position to make me feel
So damn unpretty

I feel pretty,

Oh, so pretty,

I feel pretty and witty and bright!

Never insecure until I met you
Now I'm bein' stupid
I used to be so cute to me
Just a little bit skinny

Why do I look to all these things
To keep you happy
Maybe get rid of you
And then I'll get back to me (hey)

My outsides look cool
My insides are blue
Everytime I think I'm through
It's because of you

I've tried different ways
But it's all the same
At the end of the day
I have myself to blame

Keep on trippin'
You can buy your hair if it won't grow
You can fix your nose if he says so
You can buy all the make up
That M.A.C. can make

But if you can't look inside you
Find out who am I too
Be in the position to make me feel
So damn unpretty

I feel pretty,

Oh, so pretty,

I feel pretty and witty and bright!

And I pity

Any girl who isn't me tonight.

The Only Exception

When I was younger I saw
My daddy cry and curse at the wind
He broke his own heart and
I watched as he tried to reassemble it

And my momma swore that she would
Never let herself forget
And that was the day that I promised
I'd never sing of love if it does not exist

But darling...

You are the only exception

Maybe I know somewhere deep in my soul
That love never lasts
And we've got to find other ways
To make it alone or keep a straight face

And I've always lived like this
Keeping a comfortable distance
And up until now I had sworn to myself
That I'm content with loneliness,
Because none of it was ever worth the risk

Well you are the only exception

I've got a tight grip on reality,
But I can't let go of what's front of me here
I know you're leaving in the morning, when you wake up,
Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream

You are the only exception
And I'm on my way to believing

Oh and I'm on my way to believing...

Another Brick In The Wall

Here's a pic of one of my fav parts of my room... my light purple wall
(cause theres a dark purple wall too =D.  )
I keep in my wall a pic of the most perfect places of the world in my humble opinion.
1- New York, 2- Paris and 3- it supposted to be London Bridge, but ends up as Brooklin's... anyway... and a philosophical quote of one of the bestest and more beautiful books I've ever read: The Little Prince... In English: "The essencial is invisible to the eye."

Literature, literature and, well, literature

Hello guys...

I finally finished reading 1984 uhuuuuuu *angels choir* ... and its soo great... I loved it. It had been a while since I enjoyed so much a book, including the end. I just took a long time to read cause, you know, in real literature you have to pay more attention to get all the details and completely understand and cause the Orwell's ability of making 3 pags paragraphs make the reading a little bit tirening sometimes. The end is kinda fucked up, but I guess it gives the book a whole different meaning, and make you wonder about our society and the way we live... after all everybody loves Big Brother in this country... have you ever thought about what this can mean!? Anyway, if you've never read it, STOP what you're doing now, turn off the TV (i know you're watchin São Paulo X Santos on Globo) and go read it RIGHT NOW!!!

I'm now reading The Picture of Dorian Gray which is marvelous... i'm lovin it! Oscar Wilde is the new passion of my life... he's another proof of my theory that only gays can write about love... (have you ever listen Elton John's and Fred Mercury's song O.O I wish they have made some for me, not for men) anyways... every page there's great effects sentences that go straight to my msn status message!!! The new movie of Dorian Gray is also great! And Ben Barnes is soo hot in that movie... btw he's Prince Caspian on Chronicals of Narnia...

About that I stopped my reading of Narnia Chronicals and GG, mainly cause i promessed to myself that i would stop reading more than 2 books at the same time... So i'm just reading Wilde's and Harri's right now...

Talking about Harri's I finished Dead to the World and im reading Dead as a Doornail. Its nice but the story is kinda slow lately... Where are the vampires???? Oo Where is ERIC??? ='( ...

I recently break my last promisse of stop buying books, and start buying the new Abril's collection of literature classics!!! they are really great and cheap =), so i couldnt help! My next literature reading will probably be Crime and Punishment. I know, i'm the only person in the whole world that actually wants to read this kinda of book everyone you die not to... =/

I dont have time to write anymore, althought a have a lot of stories scketches to put on paper... i hope I can do it soon...

XOXO

I totally recomended... I'm on the 4 chronical right now: Prince Caspian.

Heres the description:

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels for children written by C. S. Lewis. It is considered a classic of children's literature and is the author's best-known work, having sold over 120 million copies in 41 languages. Written by Lewis between 1949 and 1954 and illustrated by Pauline Baynes, The Chronicles of Narnia have been adapted several times, complete or in part, for radio, television, stage, and cinema. In addition to numerous traditional Christian themes, the series borrows characters and ideas from Greek and Roman mythology, as well as from traditional British and Irish fairy tales.

The Chronicles of Narnia present the adventures of children who play central roles in the unfolding history of the fictional realm of Narnia, a place where animals talk, magic is common, and good battles evil. Each of the books (with the exception of The Horse and His Boy) features as its protagonists children from our world who are magically transported to Narnia, where they are called upon to help the Lion Aslan handle a crisis in the world of Narnia.

The Chronicles are:

The Magician's Nephew

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

The Horse and His Boy

Prince Caspian

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Silver Chair

The Last Battle

Life is a bitch... and so are you!

Hello Little Monsters....

So good to be back! Back at college, back at waking at 6am, back at the craziness and busy state at msn. And the best is: classes barely started and i'm already piss off with a bunch of things, people, professors and etc. Example: my cellphone just broke today! And my wish of getting an Iphone is now over, since I didnt have enough time to save the huge amount of money it costs and I need a new one right away!!! (come on! I live in the 21st century and in a big city... cellphone is a biological need.)
Now about happy stuff: Its lovely to be back and see all my friends and the people I like, I miss stupid jokes on the class room and going to the movies to watch stupid films at Fridays!!! (or watching movies at CEAL). I'm having a lot of great classes a lot of B-O-R-I-N-G classes and a lot of classes i'll have to work my ass out. And the most amazing is the Poetry Class i'm taking *.*... so nice! Now I know how Dan Humphrey feels. So bohemian and feisty; french and poetic... hahahaha... dont get scared... its trully nice. Here's a piece from Drummond's work... He's one of the bests... S2

Amar o perdido
deixa confundido
este coração.

Nada pode o olvido
contra o sem sentido
apelo do Não.

As coisas tangíveis
tornam-se insensíveis
à palma da mão

Mas as coisas findas
muito mais que lindas,
essas ficarão.
Carlos Drummond de Andrade

And talking about Dan Humphrey:
I finished reading Gossip Girl vol.5 O.O - nice.
Finished reading Dead to the world - reeeeeeeally nice. xD. Eric* sigh sigh sigh... and started reading Dead as a doornail, but i'm in a big pause in this one... kind of tired of Vamps (hehe, never thought i would say that, right?  ^_^)
Almost finishing 1984 - I promise I'll finish it soon... finally!

Glitter in the air

It was a wonderful performance at the Grammy's and it is a beautiful song.

Glitter in the air

Have you ever fed a lover with just your hands?
Closed your eyes and trusted, just trusted?
Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
Have you ever looked fear in the face and said “I just don’t care?”

It’s only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg, the sun before the burn
The thunder before the lightning, the breath before the phrase
Have you ever felt this way?

Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the phone?
Your whole life waiting on the ring to prove you’re not alone
Have you ever been touched so gently you had to cry?
Have you ever invited a stranger to come inside?

It’s only half past the point of oblivion
The hourglass on the table, the walk before the run
The breath before the kiss, and the fear before the flames
Have you ever felt this way?

lalalalala

There you are, sitting in the garden
Clutching my coffee, calling me sugar
You called me sugar

Have you ever wished for an endless night?
Lassoed the moon and the stars and pulled that rope tight?
Have you ever held your breath and asked yourself “Will it ever get better than tonight?”
Tonight
